Fossils On An Alien World:

When I lived in Los Angeles I loved to go rock climbing and camping in the Chatsworth hills North of the city. There I saw many familiar rock formations, many of the planetary scenes from old Star Trek were shot there. When I was fifteen we used to dig fossils up there. As we cleaned a specimen with pool acid you might hear me say... "Wow!.. It's an archaeopteryx!, It's an archaeopteryx.... It's an archaeopteryx??.......um, It's a cat."
Oh well, not much Cretaceous rock in the North Valley I guess.

I am looking forward to exploring more of what the Bay area has to offer.
